Alex, Bobby Lish, Jo Archin and Kim Roy have been friends for years. Alex, Kim and Jo were in St. Francis’ church school starting in 5th grade. Ann and Jo’s mom (Mayra) were their teachers. They continued their friendship in the St. Francis youth group starting in 9th grade. Alex and Bobby met at Camp Grady Spruce and struck up an instant friendship.

We got them together last week for a little senior “group picture”. The plan was to put them in cap and gown but everyone hadn’t gotten theirs yet. We all had fun.

We finally got around to taking some “senior pictures” of Alex this week. We’d been talking about making time to do this since November. Figured if we didn’t hurry he wouldn’t be a senior anymore. Graduation is in two week!

Each year the Frisco ISD School Board recognizes students and athletes who earned the right to participate in the state UIL (University Interscholastic League) competition for their sport. This is the second year Alex was recognized along with his fellow team members at the meeting. This meeting recognized student from the Academic Decathlon, Swimming & Diving and Wrestling.

The 2007/2008 Swimming and Diving season is behind us. Both Alex and Sam ended the season on a high note. Sam missed going to the State meet by only 11 points. Fantastic finish for a first year diver. Alex was able to get back to State again this year on a relay team (200 Freestyle Relay)I put together a little video with pictures and movies from the end of the season. These are some pics of Alex, Sam wakeboarding last summer…

Centennial High School had their first Homecoming on Saturday. First because this was the first year that there was anyone to “come home” since last year was the first class of graduating seniors. Previous years events were always referred to as “Forthcoming”. Sam and Alex both went. Sam with Gabby and Alex, well, Alex went with two girls. Don’t ask. Anyway, you knew I’d have to take a few photos before they left. Even convinced Gabby and her parents to come over so I could get a picture of Sam and Gabby before they left. Once you get to the first picture click to see the other two.

Thought it was time to put the drums up for sale and get some more camera equipment. Bought a studio light, some backdrops and a backdrop stand. Set them up in the theater upstairs to play around with. Sam was being my test model when Alex came in and, well….the silliness ensued!
